Oil of Joy

This ministry of Servant Hands is to bring comfort and the "oil of joy" through chair massage to those that mourn the loss of a loved one.

Isaiah 61:1-3 says, "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted... to comfort all that mourn; to give unto them beauty for ashes, the OIL OF JOY for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness... that He might be glorified."

The idea for this ministry came when Renee took a walk after the funeral of one of her close friends, nicknamed Bid, a man who had a passionate love for God and a caring heart for others.  He was 34 when his life was unexpectantly taken in a truck accident.  Renee had the privilege of giving chair massages to his family as they gathered after the news of his death.  They expressed their appreciation at the kind gesture and said they slept better that night and it helped relieve a lot of their tension.  This gave Renee the vision to continue doing chair massages for mourning families.
